Micranthemum micranthimoides
Affectionately called pearl weed due to the accumulation of oxygen pearls at the tip of the leaves. The submerged leaves are pale yellow in colour, which are narrow, bit arched and arranged in opposite or whorls on the stem. The leaves growing above water are more or less round and bright green in colour. This very graceful plant can be set in foreground, midground (most preferable) or in back ground positions. In extremely bright conditions, this plant tends to creep. However, consistent water parameters are mandatory for its sustainable growth. Good ferritization, CO2 rich water, light and stable pH by maintaining alkalinity about 3dKH are mandatory for maintaining its luxurious growth.
